Statement from Board of Regents Chancellor Betty A. Rosa on DACA
Along with Native Americans who emigrated centuries ago and thoseÌýpeopleÌýwho were brought to this landÌýagainst their will to serveÌýas slaves, American society consists of immigrantsÌýand descendants of immigrantsÌýfrom all over the world. ÌýThose children and young adults who are currently under the protection ofÌýthe DACA executive order have already contributed positively to the American way of life and have vast potential for future contributions that may surpass all expectations. ÌýWe need to see our elected leaders at all levels of government do the right thing and strengthen the fabric of our country, notÌýtear it apart.
